Greetings dear readers!
I have an exciting new work that is nearly finished! It's a bit of a change from my usual worlds but fantastic none the less!
Welcome to Ol's Light.
Imagine an endless terrain of inhospitable mountains, horizon to horizon jagged mountain peaks and a dark, violent storm endlessly raging in the skies above them all. Now imagine, if you will, a colony of refugees venturing deep into said sea of mountains. These refugees, through years of powerful magic and sheer strength of determination, flattened miles and miles of land on which to start their own, new, kingdom of light.
The clergy of these hardy people were able to create a huge, false sun to push away the storm and all the evils that lurked within it. The kingdom center, directly under this false sun, was a land of fair weather and sunlight. The duchies and baronies further away from the center were in a tenuous land of dusk, not quite light enough to keep the evil in the dark completely away, but not dark enough to allow them free reign, this was the Outlands.
The Outlands are where our story begins. In the inspiring barony of Ols Light, where the good hearted Baron and his dedicated band of mouthy yet capable Copper Guard fight to keep the land good and safe from both the clergy that have lost sight of goodness, and the ancient evils that know none.
Welcome to Ol's Light dear readers, a brutal land where darkness still exists despite the light.
And now a quote:
"It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness."
- Eleanor Roosevelt
